Lake Pichola:
It is an
artificial pound .The name of this lagoon is derived from the nearby village
Picholi. Lake was built by Maharana Udai Singh II. The lake is 4 kilometers
long and 3 kilometers wide. The specialty of the lagoon is 4 islands, Jag
Niwas, Jag Mandir, and RC Mohan Vilas. The historical site for boating. major
luxury hotels are surrounding this mere.
Fatehsagar
mere: this tarn is a beautiful pear-shaped artificial tarn which developed by
maharna fateh singh in 1678. It is considered the pride of the city. There are
three small islands located in the middle of the tarn. Duke of Connaught was
the son of Queen Victoria , he had laid the foundation stone of this lake. This
mere linked to rang Sager and pond Pichola through a canal.
how to reach udaipur:
Udaipur
is located on National Highway 8 from Delhi to Mumbai. Delhi is a distance of
approximately seven hundred kilometers. Delhi, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ahmadabad and
Mumbai are direct train to Udaipur. From Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur there are daily
direct flight to Udaipur's Dabok airport.
